Alex Stefans is a classically trained cellist who has expanded her skill set to include chamber pop, Americana, indie, experimental and electronic genres, as well as live improvisation. She is a former student of Luis Garcia Renart and Diane Chaplin at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY and Dirk Vanhuyse in Seville, Spain. Her current projects include Wicked Timbre duo with singer and guitarist Catalina Palma and Sundae Salon with pianist Kim Wu. Alex is also a nurse practitioner and lives between Berkeley, California and San Pancho, Mexico.
